What is villavamp?
Villavamp is a brand I created to help you transform the spaces you live in, into spaces that actually work for you and make your life better.
This could be as simple as a styling makeover, study nook transformation, or even a big floor plan reshuffle.
If you feel like your house isn’t working for you and you’re thinking of making changes, especially DIY changes or budget transformations, then you’re in the right place!

Behind the brand
Hi, I’m Jacqui!
I’m a tea drinking, puzzle solving, volleyball playing, design enthusiast.
I’m a doting wife, and mum to a gorgeous human baby and the sweetest border collie. I’m a big fan of Christmas, I’m a baker not a cook, and I believe there’s a second stomach for desserts.
I’m one of those people that see a floor plan, or a room and immediately start thinking of ways to make it better – the overall function, aesthetic, air & light quality, storage, to name a few, and then I keep imagining and sketching ideas until I realise there’s a big pile of washing I should probably attend to instead.
I believe spaces should grow with people, and what might’ve worked for you 10 years ago, or even 2 or 3 years ago (hello covid), probably wont work for you now. This is true for me anyway, and I have been tweaking my house with my husband since we bought it over 10 years ago.

What’s driving my passion for villavamp?
Whilst planning improvements to our home, I got frustrated waiting for someone to help or saving enough money to hire help, so I started just doing it myself.
I’ve learnt from many different places including family & friends, YouTube, google searches, Instagram, Facebook, etc. and I love the feeling I get when I finish a project and can say “I did that!”.
No one ever told me I couldn’t do it, it was just a little voice in the back of my head, or maybe a general societal impression that the men do it, it’s easier for them, and they just know how to do it.
Background and education
I have spent a lot of my adult life, either studying architecture & interior design, getting my hands dirty with DIY, losing myself in DIY tutorials, scrolling and flipping through endless design inspiration, reading up on other people’s problems and recommended solutions on renovation pages, as well as learning from customers and colleagues as an employee at Bunnings.
What I have learnt in this time, is that people WANT to make changes to their home, they generally have a good idea of what needs changing and how they want it to look, but they just don’t know how, or they don’t have the confidence to do it themselves, or they have a rough idea but get overwhelmed with the decision making. They just need someone to give them some guidance, a little push start if you will, and off they go. So, with this, villavamp was established, to help these people (and probably many more scenarios that I haven’t yet thought of!).
